Jane is the founder of Jane Atkin Associates, a boutique consultancy specialising in building the capability and effectiveness of Corporate Affairs and Communications functions. Jane has more than 25 years’ experience and began her career in consultancy before moving in-house including being the Director of Corporate Communications at Prudential and Barclays. Jane is an alumnus of The Wharton School of Executive Development Programme, University of Pennsylvania, USA.
Head of Communications for Cornerstone Barristers
Carolina is Head of Communications at Cornerstone Barristers. She previously worked in the public affairs and corporate communications team at the Law Society and Burson Marsteller among others. She has a PhD in philosophy and used to be a lecturer in jurisprudence. She has recently become a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
Head of Government Affairs for Philip Morris Limited
Kate is currently Head of Government Affairs at Philip Morris Limited in the UK, working to help them deliver a Smoke-Free Future. Before taking up this post in the summer of 2017, Kate ran her own political consultancy business after leaving the UK Government in July 2016. Kate spent 11 years working with the Rt. Hon David Cameron MP, both in his time as Leader of the Opposition from 2005-2010 and for the six years he was Prime Minister. As a special adviser she worked across policy and strategy in No 10. and played a central role in the 2010 and 2015 General Elections as well as the 2016 referendum campaign on the UK’s membership of the European Union.
Managing Director for Snapdragon Consulting
Rebekah is the founder and Managing Director of Snapdragon Consulting, a communications agency specialising in the built environment sector. After working in the industry for 10 years, Rebekah set up Snapdragon in 2010, growing the business to a team of 14 before selling the company to PLMR, where she is currently a member of the executive board. Rebekah previously worked for PPS Group, Weber Shandwick and The Communication Group. Rebekah is also on the Steering Group of Rewire, a body looking at diversity within the property industry.
Chief Communications Officer formerly of Visa
Diane has very extensive communications, marketing and strategy expertise in financial services and health education, most recently as the Chief Communications Officer for Visa Europe. As a Trustee for Respect UK, she currently supports them to develop their communications and fundraising approach at a critical time in a challenging sector. Respect is a charity at the forefront of increasing the safety and wellbeing of survivors of domestic abuse by working with the cause of the problem – the perpetrators.
Director of Public Affairs & Research for Institute and Faculty of Actuaries
Annette is Director of Public Affairs & Research at the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, responsible for the Institute’s research, policy & public affairs, marketing and communications activities. Prior to this, Annette has worked in senior communications roles in the financial and professional services sector, including Director of Communications at The Investment Association, Global Head of Communications at Salans LLP (now Dentons) and UK Head of Communications for RSA Insurance. She is a Fellow and Chartered Practitioner at the CIPR, has an MBA (with Distinction) and is Vice-President of the Newnham College alumnae committee.
Founder of FBW Consulting
Fiona has a 35 year track record in business, including board level roles at Visa Europe, most recently as chief communications officer. She has extensive experience of communications, risk, reputation and issues management, as well as sales, marketing and change management. She is a non-executive director of banking and payments company Contis Group, a consultant to fin-tech and fast growth businesses, an accredited coach, and a trustee of Speakers Trust.
