Leading housing association seeks multimedia savvy Communications Officer

The opportunity
Our client, a leading housing association is looking for a Communications Officer to join their expanding communications team. This association is responsible for regenerating communities throughout the region and are set to become one of London’s largest developers. You will be responsible for creating engaging content for both internal and external audiences, there is huge opportunity here to be creative and develop multimedia content. If you are proactive, innovative and have the gravitas to act advice internal business partners.

Main responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of the corporate communications or media and external affairs strategies, working collaboratively with the Head of Communications and manager roles as required, to enable the organisation to fulfil its corporate communication objectives
  • Produce written copy, editing and proofing as required covering a wide range of communication channels and collateral including news stories, releases, publications, reports, and internal briefings  
  • Lead on communication programmes and initiatives as required, which are consistent with and serve to enhance their corporate identity, brand and house style 
  • Support the delivery of appropriate, clear and accessible communications to our people and customers which reflect diversity, differing communication needs and maximise engagement levels amongst office based and remote workers alike
  • Work collaboratively with all internal teams including Executive Group, Board and relevant senior leaders, to assist in the delivery of effective communication strategies for the organisation
  • Liaise with external contacts as required to ensure the effective delivery of corporate communications or external affairs

Key responsibilities and skills required

  • Demonstrable experience working in a comparable communications team environment
  • Proven track record of successfully producing high quality communications collateral for internal and external stakeholders
  • Confident communicator with excellent writing and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills
