Well-Respected Trade Association Seeks Digital Marketing and Communications Manager

Our client is the representative body of a well respected business industry in the UK. Their members make vital contributions to the economy, public services and our national life. It is a £10bn industry, creating more than £20bn worth of value to the UK economy. The organisation's membership constitutes over half the industry and is continuously growing and increasingly diverse, from the large household name firms to the small and specialised. Their aim is to promote the value of their industry for the economy and society, and theyre looking for a Digital Marketing and Communications Manager to deliver their digital offering.

Key responsabilities:

  • Implement communication and marketing plans to increase levels of awareness within member firms about the work of the organisation, and levels of member engagement in their activities
  • Be responsible for the strategic development and the day to day management of the website
  • Approval of web copy from other staff members
  • Development and delivery of their newsletter
  • Delivery of e-marketing campaigns for their various events and reports, including managing the design process (briefing, concept development, direction, proofreading, amendments, sign off) and input into reports, including writing of relevant sections and providing research
  • Responsibility for their e-commerce platforms
  • Responsible for all web agency and designer relationship management
  • Help manage their publications library and sales collateral (softcopy and hardcopy)
  • Be brand champion and provide design/technical advice to other members of staff
  • Assist at their events as and when required, and undertake other projects as requested and agreed with the CEO

Skills and experience required:

  • Strong digital marketing and communications skills , with a creative eye for design and strong written skills
  • Strong website and e-commerce management skills
  • Proof-reading and strong attention to detail, with good project management and prioritisation skills
  • In-depth knowledge of the Adobe suite, particularly Photoshop, as well as Mailchimp and Google analytics essential
  • Ability to raise issues and suggest solutions in a professional manner
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both written and verbally
  • Ability to work with representatives of their member firms
  • Team player – able to collaborate across the staff team to create opportunities and maximise achievements of the Association
  • Ability to ‘multi-task’, demonstrating flexibility and initiative
  • Ability to prioritise own work effort
  • An interest in professional services
