The Organisation

Our client is a dedicated charity with the mission to enhance accessibility for disabled people by funding, supporting, and innovating in the transport sector. 

The Opportunity

They are looking for a Evidence and Policy Manager to join their team. This new role, to help develop their strong policy positions with the goal to ensure their policies are rooted in evidence and shared effectively with key stakeholders to influence positive change for disabled people.

Main Responsibilities

  • Extract insights from research to improve transport inclusivity.
  • Commission research to support the development of policy positions.
  • Create a structured evidence bank segmented by issue area, transport mode, and disability type.
  • Facilitate internal discussions to develop strong, evidence-based policy positions.
  • Engage with external stakeholders to share and understand policy positions.
  • Identify opportunities to influence policy at both the project and organisational levels.
  • Lead responses to government consultations in collaboration with the Innovation and Communications Teams.

Experience Required

  • Experience commissioning qualitative and quantitative research.
  • Ability to use research findings to develop robust policy positions.
  • Experience responding to high-profile government consultations.
  • Understanding of decision-making processes in central and local government.
  • Ability to engage effectively with stakeholders in government, industry, and other organisations.
  • Exceptional written and oral influencing skills, using data and evidence effectively.
