Exciting external communications opportunity with a leading media business!

The opportunity
Our client, a leading media business is looking to appoint an External Communications Manager to join their wider Corporate Affairs team. This person is responsible for key trade media relations and corporate relations across the business. Working closely with a variety of stakeholders to develop creative and innovative stories for the business.

Main responsibilities

  • Develop communications across corporate channels, including newsletters, website, LinkedIn, Twitter, alongside developing and delivering proactive B2B media relations for a range of stakeholders across the business
  • Develop and execute the corporate and B2B communications strategy for the business’ various divisions
  • Running the press office for various internal clients, handling issue management as it arises, alongside highlighting key success stories across industry events and awards.

Key skills and experience required

  • A passionate interest in media, news, and current affairs
  • Track record of delivering high profile and impactful corporate communications and media relations, either in an agency or in-house within technology, media, or telecoms environment, alongside the ability to work in a high-pressured press office environment
  • Outstanding attention to detail, organisational and planning skills, alongside managing a varied workload.
