Earls Court Development Company seeks a new Head of Communications.

The Opportunity
The Earls Court Development Company is leading the Earls Court Partnership in an ambitious plan to revitalise London's largest Zone 1 development opportunity. The role involves supporting the Director of Public Affairs, Social Impact & Community Relations and leading on the organisation’s strategic communications plans. In this role, you will be responsible for horizon scanning, managing external communications around development proposals, and overseeing press releases and external content. Additionally, the role entails coordinating with agencies for social media content, dealing with press enquiries, and managing events programmes. You will additionally provide support for crisis and reputation management efforts.

Main responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic communications planning for The Earls Court Development Company.
  • Craft compelling press releases, newsletters, and external collateral.
  • Manage social media content and oversee events programme.
  • Lead on reputational risk mitigation and management.

Key skills and experience required:

  • Minimum of five years of PR or communications experience.
  • Crisis communication, stakeholder management, events and external communications experience is essential.
  • Experienced and seasoned in managing an external agency roster.
  • Strong interpersonal, written and communication skills.
  • Exceptional organisation and time management abilities.
  • Ability and willingness to deliver and execute the day to day as well as think strategically.
