Available in over 9 European countries, mytaxi provides a direct connection between passengers and drivers.

mytaxi was launched in summer 2009, by the Hamburg-based start-up Intelligent Apps GmbH, and since then has revolutionised the taxi business. With the idea to create a new mobility platform to bring the taxi market into the 21st century, a smartphone-based app was generated to restructure the traditional taxi market and make it more effective.

Whether it is advance booking and payment via app, choosing regular drivers, or rating drivers – the app is being continuously enhanced.

At the beginning of 2012, Daimler took a stake in Intelligent Apps GmbH and, in autumn 2014, took over the mytaxi company 100%. As a subsidiary of Daimler, mytaxi’s plan is to expand and continue to revolutionise the taxi market.

The vision is to “create everyday magic in city movement”.

In July 2016 mytaxi merged with the Hailo network, with over one million passengers in Spain, Ireland and the UK. By combining Hailo and mytaxi, the largest European taxi e- Hailing company was created. Andrew Pinnington was appointed CEO of the new company.

Head of Public Affairs function

mytaxi is looking to recruit a highly motivated, full-time Head of Public Affairs, who will be responsible for developing the company’s public affairs strategy across Europe and lead its implementation in collaboration with both central and local country teams.

mytaxi is working hard to create a more modern, progressive taxi trade in Europe with a clear commercial purpose of helping the business to strengthen and protect its reputation and support the company’s growth. As a seasoned public affairs professional you will take the reins when it comes to identifying and leveraging opportunities to positively position mytaxi and influence legislative changes. The Head of Public Affairs reports into the Chief Marketing Officer, Gary Bramall.

mytaxi headquarters are in Hamburg, Germany which will be the principle office location for this position. To be successful in the role it will be important to travel around Europe frequently, often at short notice, hence some flexibility on the successful candidate’s home base may be negotiated.
