FTSE business seeks Head of Social Media to transform their digital channels

Our client, a FTSE 250 technology business, is looking for a Head of Social Media to join their growing Corporate Affairs team. This person will be instrumental n transforming the way the organization communicated with its stakeholders through digital channels internally and externally. You will be a self-starter and understand how to navigate a complex environment.

Main responsibilities:

  • Developing a social media strategy for owned social media channels (Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram)
  • Monitoring the need for, and ensuring delivery of, reputation-related rapid response in social media channels
  • Managing the organisation’s wide policy and governance for use of social media including its use by individual employees, units, Divisions and other functions
  • Providing traffic control for owned social media channels across the organisation
  • Creating social media content for audiences for which Corporate Affairs has responsibility
  • Creating and managing a community of interest on social media for appropriate corporate affairs and other colleagues
  • Overseeing content planning (including content generated by other business divisions and functions) and management of their main corporate Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram feeds
  • Overseeing content and management of the internal digital channels
  • Overseeing content for the elements of the organisation’s main .com website for which corporate affairs has responsibility

Key responsibility and skills required:

  • Demonstrable experience of creating and leading digital strategies targeting media, political and stakeholder audiences
  • Demonstrable experience of overseeing high-quality digital content and working on integrated multimedia content packages or campaigns, either in journalism, PR, advertising or marketing
  • Creative and confident in putting forward and discussing new ideas
  • Attention to detail and quality in all outputs
  • Able to operate within complex matrix environments
  • A sound understanding of business issues, technology trends and current affairs
  • Experience of working on high profile B2B brand campaigns, either in-house or agency side
