The opportunity 
These are exciting times at ofi.  Created in early 2020 following a re-organisation of Olam International Limited to unlock and maximise Olam’s long-term value, ofi intends to seek a primary listing on the London Stock Exchange, and a secondary listing in Singapore.

Reporting to the Chief IDE Officer, this is an opportunity for a hands-on, communications specialist to contribute to shaping our IDE strategy, and deliver outstanding transformation communications to help build understanding and awareness of our key goals around Inclusion Diversity and Equity in ofi. 

Main responsibilities 

  • Lead IDE Communications as a core member of the IDE team including delivering on a comprehensive IDE communications strategy in line with our key IDE pillars, targeting our global employee base and external customer/ supplier audience.
  • Be a business partner with Human Resources Business Partners (HRBP)s and Regional IDE Councils to ensure that global IDE communications is also nuanced and contextual to Regional societal norms and culture. 
  • Collaborate with the wider Marketing Communications function to reflect ofi’s IDE focus in employee and customer engagement activities, fostering pride in the company.
  • Lead all employee communication, content creation, and dissemination for the IDE team, acting as content and brand custodian, ensuring all our IDE communications are in line with our company purpose, values, and brand principles.
  • Implement central activities in support of global and regional IDE milestones, working with other ofi Communicators e.g. regional leads) and Regional IDE Councils.
  • Be accountable for delivering on an ongoing calendarized communication plan raising awareness, engagement and building pride in our progress against key IDE metrics respective to the IDE strategy.

Key skills and experience required 

  • Significant experience in a senior internal or corporate communications role with a track record in the development and implementation of diversity and inclusion campaigns to support business objectives 
  • Experience working with diverse communities including experience within strategic diversity communications planning
  • Experience and confidence in advising c-suite leaders, setting out arguments and earning trust 
  • Experience of business transformation communications, in a large, global organisation
  • Credibility and skills to develop relationships with senior stakeholders across the business
