The opportunity
Our client, a high-profile regulator is looking for a Parliamentary and Stakeholder Engagement Lead to join their communications team. The communications team is crucial for delivering the regulator’s strategy, working across the business to drive effective engagement and communication among its audiences.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead the regulator’s parliamentary and wider stakeholder engagement efforts, reflecting and embedding the priorities outlined in its strategy.

Main responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of parliamentary activities. Responding to inquiries, developing proactive engagement plans, engaging with select committees and APPGs, and scanning and monitoring parliamentary activity in Westminster and Cardiff to identify issues and opportunities for engagement
  • Contributing to planning and implementing wider stakeholder engagement activities
  • Working with the Chair, Chief Executive, and the Senior Leadership Team, and advising on parliamentary and stakeholder engagement activities.

Key skills and experience required

  • Experience in developing and delivering parliamentary stakeholder engagement programmes
  • Understanding of parliamentary procedures and stakeholder best practice
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills, with the ability to write clearly and concise for a range of channels and media.
