Leading housing association seeks Policy and Public Affairs Manager

I am pleased to be working with a leading not-for-profit housing association who are seeking a new Policy and Public Affairs Manager to join them. You will be joining an established team of 3 where you will be key in developing and utilising their public affairs function. In this organisation, you will have direct contact with a range of internal stakeholders including the CEO, as well as representing the organisation externally with stakeholder such as MPs, civil servants, and local government.

Main responsibilities

  • Building relationships with external stakeholders to interpret and influence public policy
  • Engage on highly relevant areas such as the cost of living crisis, housing shortage, and levelling up
  • The “go to” person for consultations responses, briefings, stakeholder updates, and research
  • Line management of the Public Affairs Executive

Key skills and experience required

  • Strong experience within a public affairs or policy role
  • Confident in producing briefings, reports, and consultation responses
  • Excellent written and verbal communications
  • Experience in the housing sector is not necessary, but would be advantageous
