The Opportunity
Ellwood Atfield are delighted to be to be partnering with a high profile transport regulator to recruit a Public Affairs Manager.
This is an exciting opportunity for anyone looking for a managerial role in Public Affairs within the Transport sector.
Main Responsibilities:
- Issue management – providing communications advice as new issues emerge that impact our stakeholders and/or reputation of the business.
- Educating and informing colleagues across the business on the value of high-quality stakeholder engagement.
- Deputising for External Affairs Lead in meetings and stakeholder engagements.
- Supporting colleagues across the Communications Department in handling external responses (such as parliamentary questions and general enquiries), developing that content and communicating it effectively internally.
Key Skills:
- At least one years’ experience in a Public Affairs role
- Experience working with senior stakeholders including working with politicians and senior leaders within the organisation.
- Exceptional written and verbal skills
- The ability to synthesis and explain complex technical information to a non-expert audience
