Ellwood Atfield are excited to be partnered with Kingston University London as they seek a Senior Public Affairs Adviser (Strategic Campaigns) to join their team on a full-time permanent basis.

They are undergoing a significant period of expansion growth in particular across their Brand, Communications and Public Affairs function and this is an excellent opportunity for you to join their award winning and high performing team during a pivotal general election year.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Public Affairs and Stakeholder Engagement Manager, you will support the development and delivery of pivotal influencing campaigns, including their high-profile Future Skills Campaign, to support the Universities organisation wide Town House Strategy and enhance the Universities reputation.
Using your influencing skills, you will strengthen external relationships to support strategic public affairs and stakeholder engagement activities, including Parliament, strategic corporate partners and businesses  and broader influential bodies.

Working closely with Senior Leadership, including the Vice-Chancellor and senior communications colleagues, you will advise on broader public affairs engagement projects as well as providing briefings and drafting correspondence including in support in of strategic stakeholder meetings.

With strong attention to detail and accuracy, you will assist the team with the project management of key campaigns and will include high profile external events, visits, and roundtable discussions.

The Person

You will bring experience developing key partnerships and managing strategic relationships, proactively identifying, and developing opportunities for internal stakeholders to deliver on strategic priorities and increase their impact with key stakeholders.

As a confident networker, you will bring strong relationship management skills and have demonstrable experience working with political, business and community stakeholders on local, regional and national levels including government, business and corporate partners.

With a strong writing ability, you will creatively deliver impactful communications that resonates with a variety of target audiences.

You will be comfortable working on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

The team thrive with face-to-face engagement and relationship building, both internally and externally, and you can expect to be working on campus for a minimum of 3 days per week with flexibility as required for events and visits.
