In this newly-created role you will ensure that the organisation delivers on its mission by developing effective, interesting, evidence-based content, bringing your creative thinking and energy to develop ideas and bring them to life. 

This is a great opportunity for an outcome-driven self-starter with an appetite for learning, solving problems, and a strong interest in and experience of the energy sector and the broader energy environment.  
 
Main responsibilities

  • Support the Director of Strategic Communications and Membership in delivering a strategic communication plan
  • Play a key role in delivering publications via effective and efficient project management to ensure consistent quality and meet a high standard of credibility and evidence in publications and other external content
  • Deliver written materials, including briefing notes, presentations, social media content, and support speechwriting for senior leadership
  • Develop and manage the key messages evidence and supporting materials, using sharp critical thinking and creative analysis to maintain a robust and up-to-date evidence repository
  • Monitor the current debate and key issue development around energy in the global arena and apply information assessment tactics to support the Strategic Communications team.

Key skills and experience required

  • Proven experience of the energy sector, gained in industry, academia or another relevant organisation
  • Proven track record of efficient research skills and quantitative and qualitative analysis in the spheres of energy and related policy issues, or a closely related field
  • Knowledge of current issues in environmental, climate, and sustainable development areas
  • Ability to understand different audiences and tailor massages and deliverables accordingly for effective communication
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills to work effectively in an independent setting and deliver assignments on time.
