The Opportunity

A high-profile regulator is seeking a Head of Campaigns to devise and deliver a major consumer awareness campaign

 

The opportunity
We are working with one of the most high-profile regulatory bodies for England and Wales on a newly-created Head of Campaigns position.  This is a hugely exciting opportunity to develop and lead one of the largest-ever behaviour change campaigns in the utilities sector.  The campaign will span several years and you will also be tasked with recruiting both a team and external support to deliver the work.

 

Main responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the campaign in partnership with senior internal and external stakeholders and an external delivery body, ensuring the right capabilities are in place
  • Engage with Government departments to seek advice and best practice during campaign development, working with them after launch to align activities with any cross- gov communications
  • Build and establish a new team of 3 or 4 members to deliver the campaign, as well as engage and manage a marketing agency to work in partnership with the delivery body
  • Work collaboratively with the communications team as well as external industry partners on the development of the campaign delivery body, working with them after launch to align all communications and engagement activity
  • Establish and oversee process for sentiment tracking and wider evaluation measures to ensure the successful delivery of engagement activity and continuous improvement of the approach.

 

Key skills and experience required 

  • Experience of developing and delivering successful behavioural change campaigns and working in, with or for Government (or its agencies)
  • Experience of developing deep audience insights and using them to inform campaign strategies and messaging
  • Experience of and ability to manage a project involving multiple stakeholders and delivering through an external body, providing leadership, governance and project management
  • Strong influencing and communication skills, with the ability to address conflicting 
  • interests
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire those you work with.
