Alexandra Durnford

Alexandra Durnford is an Executive Coach with over twenty years of experience in issues, crisis and reputation management. She combines her expertise in communications, emotional intelligence and conflict management to coach senior leaders on improving their personal impact, managing change and becoming more resilient. She works for private, public and not-for-profit organisations and has particular experience in working in healthcare, media, law and financial services. Alexandra draws on her experience in crisis management to create the calm space her clients need to increase their self-awareness, think clearly and develop sustainable techniques to improve their performance. Her clients are often transitioning into new roles or organisations, navigating complex stakeholder environments and managing challenging teams. Alexandra uses psychometric tools and 360 feedback to generate additional insight for her clients who are interested in understanding how their style and behaviour impacts others and affects their reputation. In addition to one-to-one coaching, Alexandra works with leadership, functional, cross-functional and virtual teams to improve inter-personal dynamics, collaboration and team performance. Alexandra is interested in the work of Katzenburg, McLelland, Lencioni and Valdes-Dapena, on the behaviours, structures and processes required to operate as a high-performing team. Alexandra qualified as a Business Coach with Meyler Campbell in 2014, is accredited by the WABC and receives regular coaching supervision. She graduated in 1998 with an MA in English Literature from St Andrews University.
