The Opportunity
About the organisation:
Our client is well-established within the financial services sector and based in London.
The opportunity:
This is an opportunity to become the operational backbone of a listed financial services brand’s Corporate Affairs function, keeping a busy communications and public affairs team running smoothly. You’ll be trusted with the plans, tools and processes that let campaigns, media activity and senior briefings happen on time, every time.
Main responsibilities:
- Maintain the integrated Communications and Public Affairs plan, including key milestones, campaigns, announcements, risks and external events.
- Maintain core tools and resources, including stakeholder maps, message banks, Q&A, playbooks and briefing materials.
- Coordinate the function’s operating rhythm: planning meetings, campaign reviews, editorial sessions and performance reporting.
- Provide administrative support to the Head of Communications and the wider team, including meeting co-ordination and follow-up actions.
- Act as the day-to-day interface with Finance and Procurement, supporting budget tracking, purchase orders and supplier administration.
- Support the management of third-party agencies to ensure agreed activity is tracked and delivered.
Key skills and experience required:
- Experience co-ordinating and supporting the day-to-day operations of a busy function such as media relations.
- Strong analytical and data literacy skills, with the ability to assess data and information for effective use.
- Strong planning and campaign management skills, delivering communications projects to deadline.
- Understanding of supplier procurement and payment processes.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, able to build relationships and influence across internal teams and senior stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
