Our client is a well-established strategic communications consultancy. They work across a range of sectors, supporting clients through complex and often high-profile situations.

The Opportunity

This is a senior role within a growing and ambitious practice, offering the opportunity to shape and develop crisis and issues communications capabilities. The successful candidate will play a key role in leading client work, contributing to the broader growth of the practice, and defining areas of specialism within a generalist offer.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of crisis and issues communications programmes for a range of clients
  • Provide senior strategic counsel on reputational risk, litigation, and high-profile issues
  • Support the development and positioning of the crisis practice within the wider business
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with clients and key external stakeholders
  • Oversee and develop account teams, ensuring high-quality delivery
  • Contribute to new business activity, including pitches and proposals
  • Maintain high standards across client work, ensuring consistency and efficiency
  • Mentor and support the development of junior colleagues

Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience in crisis, issues, and/or litigation communications (essential)
  • Excellent understanding of the media landscape and handling of sensitive situations
  • Proven ability to advise senior stakeholders in complex environments
  • Demonstrated leadership capability with a collaborative approach
  • Commercial awareness, with experience supporting business development activity
  • Ability to operate with sound judgement in fast-paced, high-pressure situations
