The Opportunity
This role is well suited to someone with strong public affairs credentials and proven experience running complex accounts. You’ll be responsible for managing client relationships at a senior level, ensuring delivery of impactful programmes, and providing strategic counsel across policy and political landscapes.
It’s an opportunity to work closely with ambitious clients in the FS space, mentor junior team members, and help shape the consultancy’s profile in priority sectors. While there is scope to support business development, the core focus is on high-quality account direction, political insight, and delivery.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead on public affairs strategy and day-to-day delivery for key clients.
- Act as the senior point of contact, providing trusted counsel and guidance.
- Manage and mentor junior colleagues, ensuring quality and pace across accounts.
- Develop impactful political engagement strategies and oversee their execution.
- Draft high-quality written materials including briefings, policy analyses, and stakeholder engagement plans.
- Contribute to the consultancy’s profile by representing it externally and supporting visibility in relevant markets.
- Support new business activity where appropriate, contributing to proposals and pitches.
Skills and Experience
- Strong experience in UK public affairs.
- A track record of running successful accounts and delivering measurable impact in financial services.
- Excellent client-handling skills, with the ability to provide strategic advice and maintain senior relationships.
- Skilled at managing teams and supporting professional development of colleagues.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, especially in producing client-ready content.
- Resilient, proactive, and confident working independently as well as collaboratively.
- Comfortable working autonomously and flexibly.
