Ellwood Atfield is pleased to be supporting a fast-growing, award-winning consultancy to appoint an Account Director or Senior Account Director to join their energy practice. With a broad client base spanning renewable energy, grid infrastructure, and the future of net zero, this is an exciting opportunity for a talented consultant looking to make a significant impact in a high-performing environment.
You will take a leading role in shaping and delivering integrated communications and/or public affairs strategies for major players in the UK energy space. Working alongside a specialist team of experts, you will provide senior counsel, lead on high-profile campaigns, and support new business efforts within a thriving and collaborative agency.
Key responsibilities
- Lead client accounts across the energy sector, acting as a point of contact and strategic advisor.
- Develop and oversee multi-channel campaigns that influence public policy and shape reputations.
- Support new business development, including identifying opportunities, contributing to proposals, and leading pitches.
- Mentor and manage junior colleagues, supporting their professional development.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including policymakers, media, and industry voices.
Key skills and experience
- Deep knowledge of the energy landscape.
- Experience leading accounts and managing teams within an agency or consultancy setting.
- A proven track record of winning and retaining clients.
- Excellent writing, briefing, and presentation skills.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work under pressure.
