International Airlines Group (IAG) is the parent company of Aer Lingus, British Airways, Iberia, Level and Vueling, collectively carrying more than 120 million passengers each year. Operating from its global headquarters in London, IAG is playing a vital role in one of the most dynamic and high-profile industries. 

 

As Communications Manager, you will report to the Head of Communications & Campaigns and join a small but highly effective FTSE 100 communications team. You will lead proactive media and digital communications that support the Group’s strategic priorities and corporate reputation.

 

Main Responsibilities 

  • Working across the breadth of corporate communications, you will lead all UK media and digital communications to help shape IAG’s reputation, both proactively and reactively, across innovation, sustainability and business performance narratives.
  • Develop and deliver integrated communications plans with other teams to support wider corporate affairs priorities and ensure effective communication to employees at a Group level.
  • Coordinate with IAG operating companies’ communications teams across multiple markets on messaging and initiatives, as well as with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment across the Group. 
  • Support financial communications, including quarterly results, with precise media and digital materials, in coordination with Investor Relations.
  • Drive evaluation and planning, owning communications measurement and analysis to inform and enhance communication strategies. 

 

Key skills and experience required

  • Extensive experience in corporate communications, ideally from within a FTSE-listed company, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong press office and media handling experience, including acting as a spokesperson and supporting senior executive spokespeople.
  • Ability to demonstrate strategic thinking, whilst also being able to be hands-on in the delivery of end-to-end campaigns.
  • Collaborative and detail-oriented, with experience working cross-functionally and aligning messaging across diverse stakeholders.
