Our client, a respected communications agency, is seeking to appoint a Director to lead a portfolio of corporate reputation work for major consumer brands. Spearheaded by leaders from global businesses, this agency delivers impactful, agile campaigns without the bureaucracy of larger networks. Their mission: to build and protect brand love for some of the UK’s most recognisable names.

The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the corporate and reputation work for major household names. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in corporate communications and crisis management for high-profile consumer businesses and will inherit an enviable portfolio of clients. The right candidate will have a proven ability to develop and deliver holistic, integrated campaigns, and demonstrate a clear commercial appetite.

 

Working directly into the Managing Director, you will begiven real autonomy to shape the direction of client programmes, act as a trusted senior advisor, and manage a team delivering across earned, executive, stakeholder and crisis communications.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of corporate communications strategies across a portfolio of major consumer brands.
  • Act as the senior point of contact for clients on reputational matters, including proactive positioning, leadership communications, and high-stakes issues.
  • Deliver integrated campaigns that blend corporate storytelling, brand purpose, executive profiling, and crisis preparedness.
  • Provide strategic counsel to clients navigating sensitive or complex reputational issues.
  • Work cross-functionally with creative, media and digital partners to ensure alignment and impact.
  • Mentor and manage junior team members, nurturing a high-performing and collaborative team culture.
  • Contribute to agency growth through business development, pitching, and strategic input into agency direction.

Key Skills and Experience Required

  • Significant experience in corporate and crisis communications, with a strong track record across large consumer-facing brands.
  • A background in agency, with a new biz appetite.
  • Strong strategic instincts with the ability to develop campaigns that span brand, reputation, media and stakeholder engagement.
  • Calm and effective in high-pressure situations, with sound judgment and excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience integrating corporate and brand narratives to build trust and long-term brand equity.
  • A collaborative, entrepreneurial mindset and a desire to work in a fast-paced, less hierarchical environment.
