About the Opportunity
A respected charity within the social care sector is seeking an Interim Head of Marketing and Strategic Engagement to lead a small team in developing and delivering integrated, creative marketing campaigns. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing strategic marketing initiatives designed to increase awareness, engagement, and reach with target audiences, including promotion of innovative programmes funded by the Department for Education.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement strategic, audience-led marketing campaigns to support the charity’s services and programmes.
- Lead the creation and delivery of tailored strategies for diverse audiences including carers, local authorities, and voluntary sector organisations.
- Manage and guide the marketing team, setting clear objectives and overseeing the execution of key marketing activities.
- Work collaboratively across internal teams to ensure consistent, engaging messaging across all marketing channels.
- Lead a schools-focused engagement campaign to raise awareness of relevant issues within educational settings.
- Monitor and analyse campaign performance, adapting plans based on data insights to improve effectiveness.
- Oversee the marketing budget, ensuring resources are managed efficiently and strategically.
Key Experience Required
- Proven experience in marketing roles, with a strong record of delivering successful multi-channel campaigns.
- Previous work in the not-for-profit or social care sector.
- Proven leadership skills, including line management and experience working with senior stakeholders.
- In-depth knowledge of digital marketing, including social media, email, and both paid and organic campaigns.
- Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce) and using data to drive and optimise marketing strategies.
