Internal Communications Manager
The Opportunity
The organisation:
Ellwood Atfield has partnered with a leading UK national charity to recruit for an Internal Communications Manager on a full-time, permanent basis.
The opportunity:
The Internal Communications Manager will create, implement, and oversee the charity’s internal communications programme in the UK. This involves coordinating all internal communications activities to ensure employees are informed, engaged, and aligned with the charity’s strategy, goals, and values.
Main responsibilities:
- Develop internal communications plans to support their strategic objectives and drive positive staff engagement
- Generate high-quality content for internal communication channels – including newsletters, emails, video content, updates to the intranet, and internal social media platforms
- Working with senior leadership and other departments to ensure consistent and aligned messaging across all internal channels
- Develop initiatives to improve employee engagement, morale, and retention through effective and targeted internal communication strategies
- Plan and manage internal events including townhalls, all-hands meetings, team-building activities, and employee recognition programmes
- Monitor and assess the effectiveness of communication strategies using relevant metrics, analytics, and employee feedback to improve engagement
Experience required:
- Previous experience and proven track record in a similar internal communications role
- Previous experience working with internal stakeholders and managing communications campaigns
- Ideally, previous experience with SharePoint and Canva
- Ideally, previous experience working within the charity sector
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
