Ellwood Atfield was approached by Adrian Harris, Director General of the European Engineering Association Orgalime to find his successor as he retires at the end of 2017. EA met with the Board at their AGM in Helsinki and facilitated an important session on the desired skills, knowledge and personality attributes the association was looking for in its new leader. Following a rigorous selection process, Malte Lohan was appointed to take over from Adrian on his retirement. Malte is also President of SEAP the Society of European Affairs Practitioners, and was previously Head of Corporate Affairs, Europe at Anheuser-Busch InBev.
