Our Association work from London
Gavin Ellwood leads the Association Practice in London which specialises in the appointment of senior leaders, advising the boards of trade associations and professional bodies on the appointment of Directors General, Chief Executives and their communications teams. Our work includes recruiting ICAEW’s new Director of Communications and Brand, the Director of Public Affairs for ABTA, the Chief Executive of The Publishers Association, and we have just helped Great British Racing appoint its new Communications and Marketing Director.
We also recruit into their communications teams and have recently helped The Royal College of Radiologists hire its new Media Officer and Energy UK with the recruitment of its Press Officer. As well as permanent appointments, we have placed Visit Britain’s Interim Head of Media and London First’s Interim Media Relations Manager.
Our Association work from Brussels
Our team of Association specialists in Brussels, led by Mark Dober and Rachel Barlow has appointed 13 Director Generals and many communication and advocacy experts, most recently Head of Communications for ePURE, Head of Public Affairs for European Satellite Operators Association, Secretary General for European Central Securities Depository Association, Director General for Orgalime and Secretary General for European Centre for Eco-toxicology and Toxicology of Chemicals.
The team in Brussels were finalists in the European Association Awards Brussels 2017 – Best Training Initiative, for the Association Leadership Academy. The Academy aims to be the pre-eminent institution for leaders, members and secretariat staff of European and international associations. In the last 12 months, it has provided education, skills, networking and training to over 400 association leaders. With a winning combination of high level speakers and grounded association expertise, the Academy has garnered valuable support from the wider association community.
