An umbrella body representing the payments sector is hiring a Stakeholder Engagement Manager.

This umbrella body operating withing the payments industry is looking for an Interim Public Affairs & Stakeholder Manager for a 12 month contract.

Reporting into the Head of Communications and working within the wider communications team, successful candidates will have the opportunity to manage public affairs and stakeholder relationship activities to help support the business requirements. This umbrella body will see you working with multiple business stakeholders across Westminster, Whitehall and beyond. 

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Working to develop detailed stakeholder maps at a corporate and policy level, recording and managing all contact with priority stakeholders
  • Working on issues-rich, contemporary payments issues that span various sectors, industries and government departments which requires you to keep abreast of all public policy issues affecting the regulatory and political environment
  • Reviewing and implementing the overarching business strategy, liaising with the rest of the team to co-ordinate activity and ensure all political engagement opportunities are being used and maximised to their full potential

Your skills and experience: 

  • A thorough knowledge and understanding of delivering a large scale stakeholder engagement campaign in line with organisational objectives, preferably gained in the financial services sector (or other highly regulated environment)
  • Significant experience in a public affairs and communications environment
  • Proven experience of working autonomously and being able to continuously deliver a high standard of work
