The Organisation:

Ellwood Atfield is delighted to share an excellent opportunity to join a leading trade association in the financial services industry.

The Public Affairs Analyst will be responsible for representing the finance sector, which plays a vital role in driving economic growth and innovation in communities across the UK. In this role, you will advocate on behalf of the sector with parliamentary, governmental and regulatory stakeholders in the UK.
 
Key responsibilities:

  • Support colleagues in managing the trade bodies engagement with members of the UK Parliament and parliamentary committees, including drafting and coordinating responses to MP correspondence
  • Support wider team engagement with counterparts in the UK Government, regulatory authorities and other public bodies
  • Monitor, and draft summaries of relevant parliamentary sessions, including select committees and debates to feed back to the wider team.

Key skills and experience required:

  • Strong organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise one’s own workload
  • Effective team player
  • Knowledge of the UK Parliament, government and regulators and the policy-making and legislative process.
  • Interest in financial services
  • Strong written and oral communications skills, able to produce high-quality content and materials.
