The Opportunity:

The organisation is seeking a talented and driven individual to join the team as a Parliamentary Advocacy Lead. This role will play a crucial part in shaping the policy programme and enhancing influence on parliamentary decisions, contributing to the positive impact made in communities nationwide.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Leading the development of the parliamentary advocacy strategy, building, and managing relationships with key stakeholders including MPs, Peers, and Ministers.
  • Work on influencing upcoming election campaigns of all parties.
  • Working closely with MPs and their offices.
  •  Monitoring parliamentary business to identify opportunities for advocacy and recruitment of advocates.
  • Providing regular briefings and updates to the wider staff team on the progress of policy and public affairs work.

Experience Required:

  • Strong understanding of parliamentary processes and experience in political advocacy.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage effectively with MPs, Peers, and other stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working in the charity/third sector.
