Our client is an integrated public affairs and communications agency. The Opportunity

This role sits within a growing team and will focus ondelivering high-quality PR and media relations programmes across healthcare andpublic sector accounts. The successful candidate will play a central role indriving excellent client delivery and providing trusted counsel across a varied portfolio.

 

We are open to looking at candidates at Account Manager and Senior Account Manager level. The team is open to candidates from agency orin-house backgrounds, including those from wider purpose-led sectors looking to specialise and gain more experience in health and social care. A strong interest or understanding of the UK health landscape is important, alongside solid PR credentials and experience securing impactful coverage.

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day delivery of PR and media programmes across health and public sector accounts
  • Develop and implement proactive media strategies aligned to client objectives
  • Secure high-quality coverage across local, trade, national and digital media
  • Draft compelling press materials, opinion pieces, briefing documents and social content
  • Manage issues-sensitive communications and support reputation management activity
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, stakeholders and client teams
  • Monitor media and policy developments, providing timely advice and insight
  • Contribute to new business activity and support the continued growth of the team

 

Skills & Experience

  • Expertise in public relations, ideally within an agency environment but in-house experience will also be considered
  • Strong media relations background with a demonstrable track record of securing coverage
  • Experience across social media, reputation management and integrated communications
  • Ability to operate confidently in fast-paced and issues-sensitive environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple client workstreams
  • A collaborative mindset and interest in specialising within a growing purpose-led practice
