Ellwood Atfield are partnering with a membership body,advocating for closer trading relationships between the UK and commonwealth partners. The organisation regularly supports the Government by enabling a platform for businesses to share their feedback.
The organisation are looking for a Business Development Officer to complement the work of the membership body. Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will target mid-sized businesses and multi-national corporations, maintaining existing ties through account management. You will also be responsible for monitoring market trends to identify opportunities to bring new clients into the fold.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and research potential markets andclients to generate new business opportunities.
- Maintain strong member relations through regular engagement and customer service.
- Negotiate contracts, terms and agreements andbroader proposals to clients.
- Work closely with internal teams – including Account Management Teams – to ensure seamless delivery.
- Track and report on business development pipeline.
Key Skills and Experience
- Ability to generate business leads and maintain a strong network of clients.
- Ability to study market trends and identify opportunities for business growth.
- Proven background in business development orsales with strong negotiating skills.
- Target driven with an ability to handle objections.
