Business Development Manager
The Opportunity
The Opportunity:
We are partnering with a leading trade and accreditation body to recruit a Business Development Manager. This role focuses on expanding market share by promoting professional training programmes to employers with the capacity to train at scale. You’ll drive new business growth by positioning their brand and qualifications with large or high‑growth organisations, identifying fresh opportunities, and converting them into long‑term training partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively identify and pursue opportunities to grow the number of clients engaging with our professional training programmes.
- Map and build relationships with organisations that have the potential to train significant numbers of trainees.
- Manage prospective client relationships from initial engagement through to onboarding
- Develop and deliver annual and quarterly account plans
- Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Plan and deliver high‑quality employer engagement and lead‑generation events.
- Track performance metrics to ensure targets are met and exceeded.
Key Skills Required:
- Proven business development experience, ideally in a B2B environment is essential
- Experience working in practice, private equity, or corporate finance functions, or strong knowledge of professional services and related sectors is desirable.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Demonstrated success in lead generation and sales conversion.
- Excellent skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint, with confidence using CRM systems.
- A full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
