Ellwood Atfield is delighted to have partnered with a respected trade association who are looking for an Engagement Lead on a permanent basis. The organisation is renowned for working alongside Government and business leaders to provide insights and advice around securing investment opportunities in Asia.
The organisation work closely with its members to help businesses influence policy, connect with decision-makers and identify opportunities for growth.
The opportunity
A key element to the organisation’s growth strategy lies within identifying and leveraging opportunities within the Higher Education sector. As an Engagement Lead, you will play a crucial part in driving expansion; operating as a visible leader for UK university clients. You will optimise brand presence throughout the sector, through partnerships, policy influence and market knowledge.
You will also manage a broad range of relationships, engaging with policy teams relating to international student recruitment, cross University partnerships as well as market entry for UK universities.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain client relationships across the higher education sector through proactive engagement.
- Liaise with clients to understand their issues and strategic needs pertaining to cross country University relations.
- Promote awareness of launchpad and other services provided by the trade association within the higher education sector.
- Optimise driving client retention and acquisition through innovative recruitment strategies and market insights.
Key Skills and Experience Required
- Extensive experience in UK Higher Education (preferably in international offices) student recruitment, or partnerships.
- Strong understanding of sector challenges and solutions for growth in fast-evolving landscapes.
- Proven ability to quickly build trust withsenior external stakeholders including University Vice-Chancellors and Deans.
- Able to manage various aspects of stakeholder and client relationships including lead generation, pitching, closure and delivery oversight.
- Good understanding of HE decision-making as well as student flows and visa compliance obstacles.
- Adept in conducting qualitative/quantitative research to inform policy reports/briefings on HE trends, and sector reforms.
- Confident representing the organisation at external events.
