We are handling an exclusive mandate with a fast-growing advisory firm who support major UK and global organisations on their most complex political, regulatory, and reputational challenges. With a strong footprint in strategic communications and advocacy, the firm is expanding its senior leadership team to support continued UK growth.
The Opportunity
This is a high-profile Partner role shaping the direction and growth of a leading strategic advisory practice. The Partner will act as both a strategic adviser and a commercial leader, guiding a talented team while driving the UK practice towards ambitious growth targets. You will oversee major accounts, deepen client relationships, and help strengthen the firm’s market position across key sectors.
Main Responsibilities
- Co-lead the practice, setting strategic direction and driving significant revenue growth.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team of 20+, shaping culture, talent progression, and ways of working.
- Hold P&L accountability, ensuring commercial discipline, forecasting accuracy, and strong margin performance.
- Originate new business and nurture senior-level relationships across priority sectors.
- Oversee delivery on major, complex client mandates involving politically sensitive, regulatory, or high-stakes issues.
- Provide expert counsel on ambiguous or contested policy environments, helping clients achieve advocacy outcomes.
- Ensure operational excellence across resourcing, account management, and project delivery.
- Work closely with global leadership to shape UK strategy and strengthen the wider firm proposition.
Skills & Experience
- Significant experience advising senior stakeholders on political strategy, advocacy, or corporate affairs.
- Demonstrable success in business development or the advisory capability, confidence, and appetite to translate your experience into a commercial leadership position.
- Strong network across political and business communities, with the ability to open doors and build trusted relationships.
- Broad knowledge of public policy and regulatory processes across multiple sectors.
- Experience managing P&L, commercial performance, and team resourcing in a consultancy or comparable environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor, motivate, and support a high-potential team during periods of growth.
- Strategic thinker with sound judgement, resilience, and the ability to operate effectively in complex or ambiguous settings.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, capable of advising and gaining trust at the most senior levels.
