The opportunity

London & Partners is seeking a Senior Policy Manager to play a leading role in shaping policy and thought leadership focused on London’s economic growth. Sitting within the Policy and Impact Unit, the Senior Policy Manager will develop insight-led policy ideas and market interventions that support growth sectors, innovation and business development across the capital. The role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile projects spanning areas such as innovation, climate, life sciences, AI and business growth, while engaging closely with senior stakeholders across government, industry and the wider London ecosystem.

 

Main responsibilities

  • Develop policy insights, thought leadership and market-focused recommendations to support London’s economic growth and high-growth sectors
  • Lead and manage complex policy and strategy projects, ensuring delivery to agreed time, budget and quality standards
  • Analyse economic, sector and policy trends to identify opportunities, barriers and practical solutions
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across government, business, think tanks and academia
  • Produce high-quality briefings, reports and presentations, and represent London & Partners at meetings, events and stakeholder forums.

Key skills and experience

  • Strong experience in economic growth, innovation or sector-focused policy roles within government, a thinktank, business organisation or related environment
  • Proven ability to develop influential policy ideas, thought leadership and evidence-based recommendations
  • Excellent project management skills, with experience leading complex programmes and coordinating multiple stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly for different audiences
  • Experience building relationships with senior stakeholders across policy, government and industry.
