Lead the internal communications for an advanced learning and professional development programme.

This company is looking for a self-starter with gravitas, to work at CEO level as an Internal Communications Manager.

Main responsibilities include:

  • You will develop an internal communications and engagement strategy
  • You will enable employees to understand and live the company’s values, and understand their part to play, using appropriate channels and methods
  • Play a part in the rejuvenation of the brand, so that it starts from within
  • Be the eyes and ears of the organisation and provide leadership counsel
  • Develop excellent relationships throughout the business
  • Provide counsel to the chief executive, director of HR and other members of the senior management team, on the internal communications programme
  • Maintain induction resources for staff to provide a clear narrative of who we are, and what we do
  • Liaise closely with all areas of the organization, in order to ensure that internal communications are co-ordinated
  • Maintain and evolve communications channels for the staff, including alerts, newsletters and the intranet
  • Undertake internal communications projects across the organisation as these arise
  • Ensure that the organisation’s brand story and values are always at the heart of our internal communications programmes
  • Specific duties will vary from time to time, in line with the business needs

Required skills and experience include:

  • You will most likely be a senior internal communications executive or internal communications manager who is ready for that next step
  • You will have experience of developing an internal communications strategy, that engages employees in the vision and values of an organisation
  • You will have gravitas, and be used to dealing with CEOs and their Boards as well as providing internal communications counsel to them
  • You will be a self-starter who often comes up with creative ideas without needing to be asked
