A major corporate within the transport sector is looking for an interim Communications Manager.
You will be developing and implementing a wide-ranging communications programme that is fully aligned with, and supports the delivery of the organisation’s business strategy.
The key responsibilities of the post:
- Deputising for a colleague as required.
- Liaising with the media – some on-call out of hours rostering may be required.
- Proactively researching, writing and distributing press releases.
- Supporting event management activities.
- Supporting the development of the communications work-stream through sound planning and management.
- Chairing workshops and meetings to coordinate communications activity.
- Proactively seeking out and identifying opportunities to promote the organisation’s growth strategy, both internally and externally, through creative and innovative engagement.
- Writing copy to engage multiple stakeholders using digital and print channels.
Qualifications and experience:
- Good understanding of both internal and external communications.
- Good understanding of British and international press and media
- Experience of working in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong writing skills.
- Experience of working on crisis communications planning
