Trident Energy seek Global Communications Manager to join team

The opportunity 
Ellwood Atfield is delighted to be working with Trident Energy to hire a Communications Manager. Trident Energy is one of the industry’s most experienced teams in the science of operating and redeveloping mid-life oil and gas assets. They are focused on unlocking the value of mid-life oil & gas assets through the application of fresh thinking, specialist mid-life experience, and technology.

Reporting into the Head of Human Resources, Tax, and Communications, this role is responsible for the overall content and messaging for Trident Energy both internally and externally. 

Main responsibilities 

  • Responsible for all content production globally for both internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Development of the communications strategy in conjunction with senior management. 
  • Ensuring that organisational initiatives and projects are successfully communicated to employees and stakeholders. 
  • Planning, editing, writing, and designing content for a variety of communications channels and ensuring all staff are using the correct branding and tone of voice. 
  • Responsibility for handling the communications response to crisis situations in conjunction with external communications agencies. 
  • Coordinating the drafting and publication of the annual report and sustainability report. 

Key skills and experience required

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills. .
  • Experience of internal communications in a global organisation and/or experience of external communications. 
  • Ability to work effectively across multiple functions to develop, manage, and drive communications narratives. 
  • Ability to work independently, exercise good judgement, adapt quickly, and prioritise in a fast paced environment. 
  • A second language is essential, ideally Spanish/Portuguese/French or another Latin language.
