A leading organisation operating in the tourism industry is recruitng an Interim Head of Media Relations to help promote its’ marketing and research excellence to corporate and business media. Reporting to the Director of Strategy and Communications, the Interim Head of Media will work as part of the communications team to ensure consistent messaging to all audiences, as well as leading on the development and delivery of a pro-active media engagement programme that furthers the organisation’s strategic agenda and engages their commercial and political audiences.
- Management of high profile media campaigns, promotion of corporate sponsors and the creative use of their robust research base and marketing expertise to consolidate their position as an authority on leisure and tourism.
- Maintain excellent relationships with key business and economic writers to ensure the organisation is the first point of call for relevant industry stories
- Suitable candidates will have exceptional media handling expertise and a sound understanding of the political environment.
